One of tthe problems I've found with the Dick Cepek DC-1 wheels is that they did not weather well over the winter. All four wheels oxidized. For some reason, the clear coat put on from the manufacturer cracked and allowed the wheels to begin to oxidize.
Solution that worked for me. I found someone who did powder coating and they baked off the old clear coat, chemically treated the wheels, polished them and then put on a clear powder coating. To fix all four wheels cost me $140.00, which was a whole lot better than having to buy four new wheels.
Here's who fixed my wheel problem. He is pretty reasonable on his prices and can get powder coating pieces turned right out for you.
